Fellowship with Friends

In my last newsletter, I wrote about meeting Kristina and Kathleen. The month has flown by, and they leave Friday for school in Austria. Because they wanted to have crème brûlée before they left, we met for dessert last night.
I ordered the mousse au chocolat du maison.
I will miss the girls.

Weekend in Samer

I took part in the church weekend retreat in Samer. I got to go to the beach here for the first time. It was a little different experience than going to the beach in Southern California--cold!--but still enjoyable.

Walking Weather

Daylight Saving Time began early Sunday morning. Like most people, I appreciate having it lighter later, especially because it allows me to go for a walk after work without having to rush. Although I've been here four weeks already, I had not gone on a walk before this evening. (I do walk to and from the grocery store every week, but I don't really count that even though it is good exercise.) The excursion was lovely.
